Post-Free Agency Frenzy 3 Round NFL Mock Draft

This off-season has been incredible, a record setting combine followed up by one of the best free agencies in recent years. The free agent moves have been so big that mock drafts are going to start looking very different. It’s funny, leading up to free agency there were some consensus picks. Now, it feels a bit more like the wild west. Things have opened up and there will be a lot more variance in mocks going forward until they settle back down. And… let’s not forget that some chips still need to fall: Lamar or DHop anyone? I have a hard time believing we get through to the draft with no Lamar news. I can’t see him just playing on the tag and everything being okay, maybe a long term deal gets done in Baltimore at the end of this but something has to happen. Okay, preamble done, let’s get into it. This will be my second of 4 2023 mock drafts followed by a full 7 round mock 1 week before the draft and a final 1 round addendum the morning of round 1. If you haven’t checked out my p...

2023 Post Combine 1-Round Mock Draft

DISCLAIMER: This mock was nearly finished before the Carolina/Chicago trade, so I kept what I had. Notice my own Carolina/Chicago trade, just in the wrong spot. The trade doesn’t change the picks much as I believe Carolina either keeps who I had at 1 here or goes with who I had them taking originally if they’re in-fact in love. Enjoy! Wow, what a combine! This has to be one of the most physically impressive combine groups ever. There are a lot of risers from the event and very little guys did anything to hurt their stock, outside of the Jalen Carter situation of course. That said, making a semi accurate mock draft in early March is quite the task this year.  Fairly similar to last year, a lot of what we’ll see in the draft is riding on Free Agency. Of course, that’s mainly because of Quarterback but as we know, QB dictates the entire draft. For this exercise, we know Carr to NOLA but I’m going to guess Jackson and Daniel Jones return to their respective teams while Rodgers he...

Final 2022 NFL Mock Draft - 1 Round w/o Trades

Finally! It's about time for the 2022 NFL Draft and that means it's time for my final Mock. This mock WILL NOT have trades, although I will say that as we move closer to the draft it seems as though trade interest will be more centered on draft day slides rather than teams currently trying to move up. So, I don’t expect there to be much trade action anyway. This will essentially serve as my stab at round one as we sit today. That all being said, Let's get rippin': Round 1 1. Jacksonville Jaguars - DE/Edge Aidan Hutchinson Michigan: That's right, Ol' CardiO is NOT buying it. This pick will NOT be Travon Walker, I'm willing to bet on that. Pederson's Jags are faced with the classic draft day dilemma do you take the safe, #1 overall prospect with a high ceiling or the ultra-versatile, freak athlete who has possibly the highest ceiling in the draft but a much lower floor. Another issue I have with Walker is scheme fit: he can do a ton of things and fit an...

Official 7 Round 2022 NFL Mock Draft

It's good to be back with another Mock! As you can guess, a 7 rounder is very difficult due to the time and effort involved. I research each player very thoroughly and look at tons of rankings and other mocks to get the best feel for what exactly will happen come draft time. This is my final guess on where everyone will end up this April. That being said, the day before (Or Morning of) the draft I'll release one more stab at the first round as more rumors, signings, trades, etc. pop up (Ex: Expect Walker and Stingley to rise in my next one. It's been a few weeks since I started this bad boy). I'm confident this will be one of, if not the most, accurate full mocks out there. The first round will be pretty tight to where I see certain players as fits, trades that may occur, and around where I see players being picked. The later rounds won't feature any new trades but will be a good indication of more team fits and pick/round ranges for players.  This is the third of a...
