2025 Post Combine 2 Round NFL Mock Draft

We’re back! With the Combine behind us and a little less than 2 months until Day 1, It’s officially Draft Season. It’s the season of speculation for things like Franchise Tags, Free Agent signings, and Trades. As the dominos fall, things are going to look a lot different and this is my first opportunity to give my predictions on how things will eventually play out.

This will be the first of a 4 part series of mocks I’ll be doing for this page, followed by: a post free agency 3 rounder, a full 7 rounder that will release one week before the draft, and a final 1 round mock the night before the draft. This mock draft will have no trades as it’s pointless to speculate on that until we see how free agency changes things, all following mocks will have them. I find this tradeless mock to be a valuable exercise focused on who I expect to see in the early rounds and where they’d make sense IF the draft happened today. Let’s get rippin’:

Round 1:

1. Tennessee Titans - QB Cam Ward Miami:

With the way things are trending I believe this pick will be Cam Ward, the question really is to who? Tennessee could very well stay put here and take their QB1 of the future and for this exercise they have to. I think there really isn’t a point in taking anyone else at 1 when The Titans figure to have multiple suitors for this pick situated inside the top 10. I believe the consensus will be that Cleveland goes Ward if he’s still there at 2, the question for Tennessee is are they desperate to get QB figured out or can they wait in favor of receiving a bounty of draft capital. I do believe they’ll take the latter and The Giants are a major trade partner to watch. Nonetheless, this pick will be Cam Ward if Tennessee is smart.

2. Cleveland Browns - Edge Abdul Carter PSU:

There are a lot of ways Cleveland could go with Ward off the board at 1, that said, with this many holes why not rebuild with the best player available. Carter fills the massive hole left by Miles Garrett’s impending departure and gives Cleveland a defensive centerpiece to build their next act around. It worked well with Garrett, why not follow that same formula.

3. New York Giants - QB Shedeur Sanders Colorado:

Take this pick with a grain of salt. I wholeheartedly believe it’s get a long-term QB for Nabers or bust at this point for New York. As I’ve mentioned, I suspect The Giants could be taking Ward at 1 come draft day (in that scenario I see Travis Hunter to Tennessee here) but for the sake of this exercise they have to pick at 3 with him off the board. If that ends up being the case, I would think they’d look to slide back a bit more with a Hunter suitor but would take Sanders if forced to stay put. Outside of this scenario, I think there’s a really good chance Sanders is more in that 6 to 9 range of prospects. Teams seem to be turned off.

4. New England Patriots - CB/WR Travis Hunter Colorado:

In most scenarios, I see Hunter finding a home at 3. Luckily for New England, this is one of the few scenarios where that doesn’t play out. I think The Patriots will really look to add a capable Tackle to be Drake Maye’s long term protector, but Will Campbell’s lackluster measurables will stall any outside of the box thinking here. Hunter is the best guy available, will help Maye in several ways, and is the type of player Mike Vrabel would love to have. This is a big win for the New Patriot regime.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars - OT/OG Will Campbell LSU:

This is a tough choice for Jacksonville, do they continue to work on protecting Trevor Lawrence or build up the front 7. I see them taking the former route, as TLaw’s health was a major factor in The Jags decline this past year. I believe Will Campbell is the best O-Lineman in this draft and I think a lot of teams will still evaluate him that way even if it’s not on the outside. Though many teams would bet on the athleticism of Armand Membou, Jacksonville will opt for the very high floor of Campbell. I believe he provides Zack Martin/Quentin Nelson caliber immediate impact on the inside, with a chance to be a true starting left tackle if he proves arm length as a dated criteria. Very low risk, Very high reward.

6. Las Vegas Raiders - DT Mason Graham Michigan:

People are pounding the table for Offense here, but that just isn’t Pete Carroll. Carroll thrives on investing in the trenches early, and finding steals at premier positions later on. Adding Graham to a D-Line already fortified with Christian Wilkins and Maxx Crosby would be huge. This move allows The Raiders to focus on a physical, defense first approach and it couldn’t feel more natural for Carroll and company.

7. New York Jets - Edge Shemar Stewart Texas A&M:

This is going to take a lot of people by surprise here, but I think Stewart will continue surging up draft boards especially for teams with confident defensive minded HCs. Stewart is a Clowney level freak athlete on the edge, he just needs to learn to finish. His tape is disruptive, with a little bit of polish he can become a premier player at the pro level. I think the traits and versatility are just too good for Aaron Glenn to pass up here despite the temptation to build up the O-Line with Armand Membou following the formula laid out in Detroit.

8. Carolina Panthers - Edge Jalon Walker Georgia:

This is a hot pick right now and for good reason, Walker is as versatile as anyone in this draft making him a spectacular fit for Carolina’s defensive front. While he’ll typically be operating in a stand up edge capacity, I’m sure Ejiro Evero will cut in plenty of unique looks for Walker. He’ll impress at Georgia’s pro day falling right in line with the trend of freakish testing for front seven prospects. Edges are and will be continuing to creep up this years board.

9. New Orleans Saints - OT/OG Armand Membou Missouri:

When Kellen Moore has experienced the most success in his career, it’s come on the back of fantastic Offensive Lines. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t think The Saints are that far off on the line and Membou is just the guy to cement it. He can take over at RT day one or be an instant difference maker at Guard if Trevor Penning shows some promise under the new regime. This rebuilt offensive line would lead to some really fun game day stats out of Taysom Hill and Alvin Kamara. I know the saints need Edge, but Membou should be gone by now. They can’t pass him up.

10. Chicago Bears - HB Ashton Jeanty Boise State:

A couple of key things here: First, I think days of teams being scared away from taking RBs in the top 20 are over. A lot of teams fixed a lot of problems by upgrading to marquee running backs this past season. Second, while OL reinforcements will be key for taking the pressure off Caleb Williams, Ben Johnson knows there’s nothing better for building a QBs confidence than a stellar running game. Jared Goff has thrived with Johnson’s running approach in Detroit, besides I think Chicago will be able to find an O-Line upgrade or two on day 2 while Jeanty can provide an unmatchable boost at this spot.

11. San Francisco 49ers - LB Jihaad Campbell Alabama:

I could see this pick going three ways: OT is a huge need but with Membou and Campbell off the board, 11 feels a little rich to me. CB could be in play with both Will Johnson and Jahdae Barron still around, but I’m willing to bet Charvarius Ward returns next year. That leaves a need for future planning at both LB and Edge, and who better to fill that need than Campbell. Robert Saleh’s style of defense thrives on great LB play, whether or not they get Dre Greenlaw back for the short term doesn’t really matter, Saleh needs a long term centerpiece to pair with Warner in the middle. This is the type of move championship contenders make when they get a rare early pick, adding something the team is missing today: A true defensive chess piece. While Campbell rivals Walker in versatility and athleticism, we’ll see Walker trend a bit higher due to being viewed as an edge first prospect where Campbell is a bit more of an off the ball LB.

12. Dallas Cowboys - OT/OG Kelvin Banks Jr. Texas:

While there are better prospects available, this pick makes sense on a lot of levels. Dallas will be able to find an RB, DT, or even WR on day 2 while Banks may be the final piece of this O-Line rebuild. Assuming Guyton steps into LT and last year’s 3rd Rounder Coooer Beebe stays put at C, The Cowboys need someone who can push Terrance Steele at RT that can also slot into Zack Martin’s spot at Guard. Banks leaves Dallas with a three way battle of powerful hybrid lineman for RT (himself vs. Steele vs. Tyler Smith), while the two losers man the inside at Guard. It’s also worth noting that Banks is right in that Dallas pipeline as a former longhorn, Jerry and Co should be plenty familiar with his work.

13. Miami Dolphins - S Nick Emmanwori South Carolina:

Here’s another guy that I expect to really climb boards after the combine. Miami has a lot of options here and could easily go with Tyler Booker to take over at Guard or a number of great D-Line prospects, but I think they’ll opt for Emmanwori’s high end potential at a major position of need. With Jevon Holland set for free agency and general lack of safety talent on the roster, Emmanwori will revitalize The Dolphins back end and give them a high ceiling defensive star even if it is at an under appreciated position.

14. Indianapolis Colts - TE Tyler Warren PSU:

This is a hot pick because it makes sense on several levels. Perhaps the biggest issue I notice with Anthony Richardson at this point is his inability to find short comfortable passes, Warren gives him a big physical safety valve who can help The Colts get on schedule offensively. Not to mention, Warren’s blocking ability will greatly help the run game and he can complement Richardson’s strengths by getting open down the seam. Warren immediately gives this Indy offense a massive upgrade in multiple areas.

15. Atlanta Falcons - CB Will Johnson Michigan:

Pass Rusher would make sense here and I know Falcons fans are dying for it, but Will Johnson sliding to 15 is quite the steal. Johnson’s decline in noteworthy tape this past year will likely cause a small slide but if he puts together a nice 40 time at Michigan’s pro day he may just find himself back inside the top 10. Corner might sneakily be a bigger need for Atlanta than pass rusher and Will Johnson would be an immediate upgrade in Raheem Morris’ defense.

16. Arizona Cardinals - DT Kenneth Grant Michigan:

Last year I noted that we should expect Jonathan Gannon to take a trenches based approach reminiscent of his time in Philly when rebuilding The Cardinals and guess what, he did. Gannon added Darius Robinson at the back end of round one and grabbed Isaiah Adams to fortify the inside of the O-Line in round 3. Arizona will face the same question this year, keep adding to the O-Line or build up the defensive front. Well, Philly has showed us better than anyone that defense wins championships and Grant will remind Gannon of an absolute stud Nose Tackle that he took part in drafting to The Eagles: Jordan Davis. This Cardinals defensive front will have a scary future.

17. Cincinnati Bengals - WR Tetairoa McMillan Arizona:

There are other positions that Cincinnati should be worried about here, guys like Jahdae Barron and Tyler Booker would be great upgrades for them. That said, Cincy has shown that their biggest concern is always the desires of QB1. Joe Burrow has made it clear that his goal is to keep his two-headed monster intact at WR, so the front office gives him the next best thing. The writing is on the wall for Tee Higgins after another franchise tag, he won’t (and shouldn’t) want to return and as we’ve all been saying it’s a pipe dream for Cincy to even think they can pay him. In this scenario, The Bengals finally figure out Chase’s deal, nab the sliding McMillan who will fit right in as a very similar receiver in style to Higgins, and move Higgins on or shortly after draft day. Everyone wins, and the miss handling of contract negotiations can stop. While there’s talent in that room, I don’t believe The Bengals are comfortable with anyone currently under contract replacing Tee’s production.

18. Seattle Seahawks - Edge Mykel Williams Georgia:

I know I sound like a broken record, but another pick that could’ve been Tyler Booker passes with him still on the board. I think his lack of athleticism and Guard only tag are going to cause a bit of a slide. On the other side of things, the chips just happen to fall in a way that several Edge Rushers who could easily go in the 10-15 range are still on the board. Seattle’s Edge game has been fine but not great, and Mike Macdonald has a track record of building up young talent on the edge dating back to his time in Baltimore. Despite several great edges being available, Williams is a perfect fit for Macdonald’s scheme and will likely go much earlier if he puts in an inspired workout at Georgia’s pro day.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - WR Matthew Golden Texas:

I was back and forth here between Golden and Tennessee Edge James Pearce. Both players fill core long-term needs and were combine freaks whose stock I expect will be rising. I ended up on Golden here for a few reasons: We know it’s highly unlikely for Chris Godwin to return while I’d expect one or possibly two of Tampa’s Free Agent Edges to come back (Tryon, Barrett, Nelson). Couple that with the fact that Tampa went higher last year at Edge than WR, despite McMillan clearly producing more as a rookie than 2nd round Edge Chris Braswell. Lastly, Tampa has a long term Edge in Diaby while WR will continue to thin out as Evans approaches retirement. Golden can be a star in the slot day 1, and learn from Evans to become a true #1 WR.

20. Denver Broncos - TE Colston Loveland Michigan:

This is another pick that we’re seeing regularly because it just makes too much sense. Sean Payton loves using Tight Ends in the passing game, Loveland will be at the top of many boards here talent wise, TE is a big hole in Denver’s roster, and they’d be hurting a division rival in the process. Jim Harbaugh will hate to see his former wolverine end up in Denver, and Bo Nix will be estatic to see another capable weapon come to town. I’d fully expect Loveland to take over as the 1b option in Denver’s passing game from day 1.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers - QB Jaxson Dart Ole Miss:

I’ve been mocking this pick in my test runs for what feels like forever, I told myself that this time it would probably be different but I just can’t think of another way. The Steelers have a solid roster, with an immediate needs at CB that I expect will be somewhat alleviated in free agency. OT is viewed as a need by many but I think they’ll bring in a cheap vet and view this as a prove it year for Broderick Jones. Jahdae Barron would make a ton of sense here but it feels like it’s all for nothing if Pittsburgh doesn’t find it’s way out of QB purgatory. Dart is climbing boards and will find his way into the back end of day 1, he’s exactly the type of QB The Steelers covet. This pick is not a stretch.

22. Los Angeles Chargers - DT Walter Nolen Ole Miss:

Coach Harbaugh will be bummed to see the two phenomenal DTs that helped him win a National Championship at Michigan come off the board (not to mention a great TE he’d love to have back in Loveland), but the pain is severely lessened by landing a player like Nolen at 22. Nolen’s ferocious approach to the game will quickly land him in Harbaugh’s good graces and help usher in this new era of Charger football. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Nolen go in the 10-15 range but in this mock he happens to fall.

23. Green Bay Packers - CB Jahdae Barron Texas:

I have a feeling that the top end Corners in this draft are going to see their stock take a bit of a hit due to great combine performances by several guys in that second tier (see Maxwell Hairston and Darien Porter). Green Bay is the benefactor of this, nabbing a player in Barron who should clearly be off the board. Barron is an absolutely perfect fit for what Green Bay wants from it’s Cornerback room and some teams may even argue that he’s the best CB in this year’s draft. The Pack seem to be preparing for life without Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes, Barron will help ease that transition.

24. Minnesota Vikings - HB Omarion Hampton UNC:

If this was real life, I full-heartedly believe Minnesota would make a move to leapfrog Green Bay and go get Jahdae Barron but it’s not, and in a trade free mock draft they can’t. Therefore, Minnesota is left with quite a predicament. Corner is a bigger need and Minnesota has some great options here: Maxwell Hairston, Azareye’h Thomas, and Shavon Revel. That all feels like a consolation prize after narrowly missing out on a top prospect like Barron. CB is also very deep and can be addressed later. Running Back on the other hand is a bit more top loaded in my opinion, and the gap between the boards top guy (Hampton) is bigger than corner’s. Even with Aaron Jones back under contract for the next 2 seasons, The Vikings are in need of a long term solution at Running Back. Jones was a huge part of the Minnesota offense last year and Hampton will do a great job taking the load off of him and eventually carrying the torch. This addition will also help take pressure off J.J. McCarthy as he assumes the helm.

25. Houston Texans - DT Derrick Harmon Oregon:

The Texans have a battle tested, win now roster with very few holes. At this point, their looking at the best players available and get lucky that one of those fills their biggest need. Houston could greatly benefit from generating more havoc on the interior, and that’s exactly what Harmon does. Harmon is a disruptive player in both the run and pass game and will take the middle of DeMeco Ryans defense to a new level.

26. Los Angeles Rams - OT Josh Simmons Ohio State:

This is a great position for The Rams to be in and the newly resigned Matt Stafford will be very thankful. Similar to how I felt with Jordan Morgan last year, Josh Simmons is a guy who could easily be Top 10 if he had a healthy 2024. With Will Campbell’s lack of length, I believe many evaluators will have Simmons as the best pure Tackle on their board. Last year’s season ending knee injury makes him a bit too risky for the teams picking inside the top 25. With Davante Adams coming to town, LT may be the biggest beed for improvement on this Rams roster and Simmons will be an upgrade once healthy.

27. Baltimore Ravens - Edge James Pearce Jr. Tennessee:

Ronnie Stanley has resigned in Baltimore giving The Ravens a lot of flexibility when it comes to the draft. Receiver could be in play here but I don’t see them going back to that well. In fact, with no major needs on their board, I believe this is a situation where their biggest remaining need perfectly aligns with the best player/players available. Although, they do have a decision here: James Pearce or Marshall’s Mike Green. Both players could be well off the board by this point, I could see them creeping up as high as the back end of the top 10. While these guys will be draft process warriors, I think the whole position will fall victim to a slide because of it’s depth. Both players are freaks but Pearce gets the nod over Green because he’s slightly freakier.

28. Detroit Lions - Edge Mike Green Marshall:

If the draft played out like this, Lion fans would start to think it’s rigged. This slide would almost be as amazing for them as last year’s with Terrion Arnold. Getting another Edge Rusher is a must and Green brings Detroit an extra dose of speed, physicality, and All-Pro potential to match Aidan Hutchinson. I do believe Green and James Pearce are in a more similar tier to some of the rushers who went earlier and I’d expect Detroit to have to move up to get one, but if that isn’t the case, Dan Campbell will sprint this card up himself.

29. Washington Commanders - Edge Nic Scourton Texas A&M:

And here’s another one! Like I mentioned, I do think Green and Pearce are in a bit of a higher tier but all the teams that desperately need Edge are picking a bit later. In this scenario Washington misses out on that premier tier of Edge Rusher and is forced to settle for a fringe 1st/Early 2nd round prospect in Scourton (Making The Commanders a trade-up contenders come draft day). Don’t get me wrong, Scourton is a tremendous pass rusher and will be a great pro once some inconsistencies are handled but he’s not quite the traits based athlete as the Edges who have preceded him. As I mentioned, this feels like a good spot for Scourton, you just hate to narrowly miss on Pearce and/or Green. If Washington strikes out on a trade-up, Scourton is a good pick and feels like one of those missing piece moves for a contender. I’m sure they’ll add a free agent/resigning or 2 at Edge but I’d be surprised if he didn’t come in and prove to be one of the roster’s top options on passing downs from day 1.

30. Buffalo Bills - CB Maxwell Hairston Kentucky:

The Bills have done a great job building through all three days of the draft, but one position has still been an issue for them: Corner. At this point, they can take their pick of the litter when it comes to that second wave of cornerbacks but I could also see Brandon Beane opting to trade back once again. Forced to stay put in this mock draft, I have Buffalo grabbing Hairston over the likes of Shavon Revel and Azareye’h Thomas. All three would work really well in Buffalo and have some great traits but Hairston’s blazing fast 4.28 40 gives him the edge when it comes to climbing into the 1st round. He’s a bit smaller than what Buffalo typically looks for, but he can fit into any scheme and is willing to participate as a tackler and blitzer, Sean McDermott will get the most out of this one.

31. Kansas City Chiefs - OG Tyler Booker Alabama:

Let me preface this with the fact that I don’t see Booker being here this late in the real draft. Someone will move into the mid-20s to grab him, that’s where he makes sense. I believe Booker will be sliding a bit because of that lack of athleticism I referenced earlier, but he’s a polished player and will be a solid day 1 starter for whoever grabs him. KC has a few goals to take care of this offseason but the main one is to rework that offensive line that was manhandled in the Super Bowl this past year. Left Tackle is a must but I think they’ll be big players in free agency next week and land a veteran to compete with last year’s 2nd Rounder Kingsley Suamataia. Booker could then slide in at Guard and complete a revamped Chiefs O-Line. There are talented LT prospects here but they’re a bit more raw, Booker provides high level Guard play out the gate. I also wouldn’t count out Safety Malaki Starks if he’s available here.

32. Philadelphia Eagles - Edge Donovan Ezeiruaku Boston College:

The Eagles stick to the formula and continue to reinvest in this dynamic defensive front. Brandon Graham is likely headed to retirement after his super bowl injury, Josh Sweat seems primed to walk in free agency, and Bryce Huff has been a big miss. Ezeiruaku is a unique player, he’s overshadowed by some of the extremely athletic Edges in this draft but he’s easily one of the most polished. He’s a crafty rusher and will push for a lot of snaps in Philly from Day 1 even if the Eagles resign Sweat or make a signing in Free Agency. Edge is a stacked group this year and this run at the end of the first round is no surprise to me.

Round 2:

33. Cleveland Browns - HB TreVeyon Henderson Ohio State

34. New York Giants - OT Josh Conerly Jr. Oregon

35. Tennessee Titans - WR Emeka Egbuka Ohio State

36. Jacksonville Jaguars - WR Luther Burden III Missouri

37. Las Vegas Raiders - S Malaki Starks Georgia

38. New England Patriots - OT Aireontae Ersery Minnesota

46. Atlanta Falcons - WR Jayden Higgins Iowa State

47. Arizona Cardinals - OG Tate Ratledge Georgia

58. Houston Texans - HB Kaleb Johnson Iowa

59.  Baltimore Ravens - OT/OG Marcus Mbow Purdue

60. Detroit Lions - CB Benjamin Morrison Notre Dame

61. Washington Commanders - OT Charles Grant William & Mary

62. Buffalo Bills - WR Isaiah Bond Texas

63. Kansas City Chiefs - DT Alfred Collins Texas

64. Philadelphia Eagles - CB Darien Porter Iowa State
